During Lent, St. Paschal's offered 3 retreats in different languages.
On March 18, the Italian community gathered in Church for an afternoon's recollection, led by Fr. Vincenzo. About 70 people attended the event, that ran nicely and smoothly.
On March 24, from 9:30am till 4:00pm the Filipino speaking community congregated in the hall. Fr. Mario Lorenzana gave a couple of reflections to help the 150 people present get ready for the Easter Season with renewed spirit. The celebration of the Eucharist concluded the day of recollection, which saw the attendance of some people coming from the neighbouring parishes.

On March 25, we welcomed back Bishop Peter Hundt, who graciously accepted the invitation to spend the day with the community.

At 2:30pm the Bishop spoke about the importance of prayer in our christian life and then led the Stations of the Cross, giving to them a very personal touch.
By 4:00 pm, a brief penitential service preceded the individual confessions of more than 200 people who came to spend this afternoon in the Church.

At 5:00pm, the Eucharist was celebrated, followed right after by a pot-luck dinner in the hall.

This new way of preparation to Easter surely found the approval of so many parishioners and other friends, who came for these days of recollections.
