St. Paschal's Parish was officially established by Cardinal James C. McGuigan on 1st October 1957 and the first Mass took place in the North York Veterans' Hall on October 27, 1957 - the Feast of Christ the King.
Eight months later, a piece of farmland on Steeles Avenue, west of Yonge Street, was purchased and later became the site of the new Church.
The groundbreaking ceremony was held in May 1959 and the new Church was inaugurated by Cardinal McGuigan on December 20, 1959.
Along with the Church, a Hall was built and later a rectory.
The first two Scalabrini Fathers, who started this community, were Vincent LoSavio (Pastor) and Ralph Villella.
On the occasion of the 25th Anniversary, Fr. Francis Geremia was the Pastor and the Parochial Vicars were Frs. Ulderico Piccolo, Joseph Durante and Pierangelo Paternieri.
Fifty years later, St. Paschal's still thrives and grows in every way, thanks to the active ministry of the Scalabrini Fathers and the many Volunteers who keep this community together and make it lively and vibrant.
