Besides confession, the Sacrament of the anointing of the sick becomes a wonderful opportunity for the Church to reach out to those who are deeply troubled by sufferings and often discouraged.

The invitation of the Apostle James is very simple, "Is there any person who is sick among you? Let they call the priest of the church to come and pray over him..."
The anointing of the sick and the prayer of the church will help everyone, finding peace of mind and heart. It eases our sufferings and makes us one with Jesus, who carries the cross with us and shows us the way to trust and salvation.

Do not deprive the sick people in your families from this sacrament, but invite the priests in our community to come and visit you, to pray with the whole family and seek God's guidance and strength in such a trying time of your lives.
