About Us

When the church was built many said that our church had a vision. Today, our vision continues. We are a church that has strong ties within our community. Easily can our church can hold up to one thousand people and as each week passes by, it is filled to capacity every Sunday.

For over 50 years, we still thrive and grow in every way. Thanks to the active ministry of the Scalabrini Fathers and the many volunteers who keep this community together, lively and vibrant.

About St. Paschal Baylon

Born at Torre Hermosa in the Kingdom of Aragon, in the year 1540, St. Paschal Baylon spent his early childhood as a shepherd. While tending to his flock, he would carry a book with him and beg those who he met to teach him the alphabet. In a short time, he learned how to read.

He led the solitary life of a shepherd until he was about 24 years of age. When he decided to become religious, he avoided the rich monasteries. In 1564, he entered among the Reformed Franciscans in the Kingdom of Valencia and insisted upon becoming simply a lay brother. For 28 years, he lived a perfect life in the Austere Order, where he made the choise of a life of poverty and constant prayer.

St. Paschal Baylon was characterized by intense devotion to our Lord in the Holy Eurcharist. Toward the end of his life, he frequently spent a great part of the night in prayer before the altar. He had a single devotion towards the Blessed Virgin. He died on May 17, 1592.

The Chapel is open to anybody for personal and silent prayer, from 5 in the morning to 11 at night. During the night hours ONLY assigned adorers are allowed in the room.

Delight thyself also in the Lord, and He shall give me the desires of my heart

- Psalms 37:4

You are the light of the world. A city built on a hill cannot be hid. No one after lighting a lamp puts it under a bushel basket, but on the lamp stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven.

-Matthew 5:38

For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor rulers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor anything else, in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

-Romans 8:38

And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him.

-Hebrews 11:6
